Oh Scrap! : A Few Pinks from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

 Happy Sunday Everyone!

This was a crazy week for me.  I received two very large fabric donations, so my house was complete chaos for quite a few days as I sorted, folded and organized a lot of material.

I also received a few quilt tops and a whole bunch more orphan blocks.

Even with all that going on, I did sew a bit with some pink scraps.

I made ten more strip blocks.  They measure 4.5" x 8.5".

This is the prettiest scrappy thing I touched this week.  One of my clients brought me a Geese Migration top ...

A Little Quilt Show from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

It has been a long time since I shared some of the photos I receive from quilters who made quilts using my patterns. I love seeing them and I thought you might too.

First up is this colorful Wiggle Time quilt.  Sadly I can't find who sent this one to me.  But I always love when quilter use a print background on this pattern.

Sue just recently sent this picture to me.  She has made quite a few quilts from my Wiggle Time pattern.  I love it in blue and I also love the diagonal grid quilting she did ...

Prepping for a Class from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

This afternoon I started prepping for an upcoming scrap class.  I am teaching my Geese Migration class in Roseburg Oregon in about a week and half.

I like to take lots of scraps with me to share with students.

When I need to cut my scraps into a lot of 2.5" squares, I love my AccuQuilt Studio cutter.
I can layer the scraps over the multiples die and run it through the cutter and soon have a stack of 2.5" squares.

I can quickly top off my 2.5" storage box.  You can see the squares stand up ...

Some Year End Eye Candy from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

I often get photos of the lovely quilts other quilters make using my patterns.  I realized I haven't shared them on my blog since last summer.  Thought I would share a few today.

This fun little quilt was made by Julie over at Julie's Quilts and Costumes using my Wiggle Time pattern You can read more about it on her blog.  If you don't already follow her, you should.
Her quilts are amazing!

Sadly, I lost track of who sent me this Wiggle Time quilt.  They added a couple rows to make the quilt longer.  Check out ...

A Parade of Quilts from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

I was all prepared to share my Bee Grateful quilt from a shortcut pattern through the Fat Quarter Shop.  But the fabric for the kit still has not arrive for them to sell so they are holding off on sharing all the quilts.  So I thought I would take this opportunity to share a few photos sent to me by quilters who have used my patterns.

Above are a couple of quilt photos that were included with pattern reviews from Etsy buyers.  These quilts were made using my Wiggle Time pattern.  I always enjoy seeing what colors and fabrics are ...

A Mini Quilt Show from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

Pretty regularly, I receive photos of quilts made using one of my patterns.  I always love to see them and thought I would share a few of them with you today.

Here is a wonderful quilt made from my Wiggle Time pattern.  I love the solid color and the quilting she added that "wiggles" across the quilt..  This lap size pattern takes five fat quarters and some background fabric - you probably have the fabric in your stash!

This quilt was made using my All That Jazz pattern.  After seeing this one, I remembered I have a tub full of neutrals ...

A Mini Quilt Show from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

It has been a while since I have shared some of the photos others have sent me of quilts made form my patterns.  I love to see what people make and thought you might like to see them too.

This sweet quilt was made using my Summertime Blossoms pattern.  It was made from one of the students in a class I did last year.  I love the soft colors in it.

Wiggle Time quilts are always a favorite.  Five fat quarters and some background fabric and in no time you have a quilt top.  The variations are truly endless!

A Practical Thing and Some Pretty Quilts from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

Here is my finish for the week.  Can you guess what it is?

Here is a bit of a back story.  For years now, I have been trying to minimize the amount of garbage I create.  And I have to say, this covid business can sure challenge that goal.

The last time I went to the grocery store, I didn't want to use a single use sanitizing wipe (or trust that they were previously wiped down well), so I grabbed a clean hand towel from home to wrap around the handle of the cart.

Well, I have another trip ...
